Happy You is Healthy You: 7 ways to surge your happy hormones

When was it in recent times that you felt happy? How often has it been that you are in full vigour and vitality but still unhappy? Have the strength but no will to do something? Is it because you are not happy? As per Health-line, a study of a few thousand people shows that the people who are happy are less prone to heart disease, have balanced cholesterol levels, and reduced blood pressure.
Isn't that worth giving a thought? The Coronavirus pandemic has barely given us the chance to smile, has it? It has not just affected us physically but mentally too. All the social things that kept us happy seem like a distant dream. A lot of research studies clearly indicate that "a happy you is healthy you" the phrase, all of us need to swear by. It is no more the survival of the fittest but of the happiest.
According to https://worldhappiness.report/ed/2020/, Finland has consequently topped the list of the World’s happiest countries and is also one of the top 20 wealthiest nations of the world. Why? Countries like Iceland, Switzerland, and Sweden who make it to the top seven happiest countries of the world also make it to the top healthiest countries of the world. Why? The linked reports that are a result of extensive research give a fair idea of how happiness and health are factors that go hand in hand. While both Science and Statistics affirm the correlation of happiness and health, the recent pandemic has left the world scarce of both. However, we must still take the stride and make happiness and our willpower the ultimate defence for our well-being. Easier said than done, isn't it? Let's break it down further.
Happiness is that ingredient that gives your mind and body the rest that it needs. When you are happy, you are content with the present moment and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. You wish to take in everything good the world has to offer. Even a few moments of happiness become the fuel for getting past the hardship that we go through. But if finding happiness was so easy, why would we ever worry?
The real world cannot be narrated as a unicorn story. Every person is born to lead a life that has everything. Although the quotients may vary, one is meant to experience happiness as well as sorrow.

Here are some ways to surge those happy hormones in your daily life.  Being in the present moment: According to Guardian, 46.7%  of people think about everything except for what they are doing in the present.  Irrespective of the current phase being good or bad, you need to put all your efforts into your present task. This way you can get past the worries of the future and be content with what you have today.

1. Being self-reliant:

Being self-reliant does not mean not staying connected. It implies being responsible for everything that you do. It means being independent and living life on your own terms. This way your happy times will be fulfilling and you will never blame someone for your bad days.

2. Being Honest:

When you give your best to every task and be honest with it, there won't be any worry residing within you. There will be mistakes but honest ones. The ones you won't regret.

3. Being conscious of your decisions:

Problems are never uninvited. You land up in a problem because of a choice you make. If you are conscious of the consequences of the decision, you will never regret them.

4. Being okay with worries:

We are born humans and are meant to worry. If you wish to be happy with your life, you need to treat worries like that friend that is difficult to handle. It's just you who can handle them. They aren't there for long but need to be dealt with well until gone.

5. Being Grateful:

Every person, irrespective of being in the best or worst phase of his or her life has something to be grateful about. It can be a lesson learned or a relationship built. Make sure that while you are taking up new fights each day, you remember yourself of the things you are grateful for.

And Lastly

Being you:

Before you seek out happiness, know what makes you happy. And once you know it, boost that quotient with the former counsel. <  3 Do things that make you happy and a Happy mind will keep you completely healthy.
